Rules & Policies

Quiet time throughout the
campground from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am

Reservations require a one night deposit to hold a site or cabin for you.  Your credit or debit card will be charged at the time the reservation is made.  Please be advised that once a reservation has been completed, any subsequent changes to the reservation will be subject to applicable fees.

UGA football game weekends, holidays, concerts, and major event days require a two night minimum stay.  Deposits taken for these major event days are non refundable.

All reservation cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.  Please see our cancellation policy below.

Domestic Policies:

Satellite television:  We offer satellite television with Directv here.  We do not offer “cable television.”  The hookup on our post is for Directv.  You will need a Directv receiver with a current and active subscription and may either bring your own or rent one from us.

Visitors:  It is the responsibility of each camper to register all of their visitors.  Visitors that use and enjoy our facilities must pay an additional $5.00 for each extra guest fee.  This includes the use of bathrooms, nature trails, docks, etc.  Visitors must check-in at the office upon entering the campground.  All visitors must be out of the campground by 10:00 pm.

Pets:  All pets, even service animals, must be kept on a maximum 6-foot leash at all times.  Pets are not permitted in any building.  Pets should not be aggressive, noisy, or disruptive at any time and must not be left outside your camper unattended.  Pet owners must properly dispose of pet waste and will be responsible for any property damage or personnel injury.  Pets must be housed in camping units during quiet hours.  Please do not tie pets to our trees or tables and please keep them out of natural areas.  Pets are not allowed in our lakes.

Children:  Parents are fully responsible for the safety, actions, and behavior of their children.  Children must be supervised at all times by an adult when on the campground property and when using any campground facility.

The speed limit is 5 mph!  Watch for children and pedestrians.  The roads are for travel to and from campsites and riding about over the camp area is not permitted. Mrs. Chandler takes speeding in the campground very seriously, be advised.

Vehicles:  Please limit vehicles to no more than 2 per site.  Construction equipment and oversize vehicles are not allowed in the camping area.

Motor vehicles: four-wheelers, ATVs, dirtbikes, etc. are restricted from use in the park.  Golf carts may be used on most graveled roads.

Disorderly Conduct Policies:

Campfires:  Take extreme care with fires, cigarettes, and matches.  Fires are permitted in grills, designated fire areas, and fire bowls only.  Do not build fires on the ground and do not leave fires unattended.  Fire bowls are available for rent at the office.  Wood is available for purchase as well.

Smoke Free Facilities:  Please be advised that smoking is prohibited in all enclosed facilities and vehicles owned, leased, or operated by Pine Lake Campground and its staff.  This includes all cabins and cottages, shelters, bathhouses, recreation buildings, and our office.  Cigarette butts are trash.  Dispose of them accordingly.

Alcoholic beverages must be consumed within your camping unit.  Public display of alcohol is in violation of the Georgia Open Container Law. 

No disorderly conduct, drunkenness, or obscene language permitted.  Any disorderly disturbances will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.

Noise levels:  Do not create undue noise anytime, especially between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.  Please be considerate of guests who are visiting for a relaxing experience.  Radios, televisions, musical instruments and all other noise making devices are not to be used between 10 pm and 7 am and must be kept at low volumes during other times.

Do not discharge weapons or explosives of any type.  This includes firearms, air guns, archery equipment, sling shots, and fireworks.

Campground Policies:

Do not move from one camp site to another without permission from the office.

Do not deface or cut trees and plants for any purpose. 

Do not drive stakes of any kind into the ground.Place all garbage, trash, and litter in cans provided.  Please help by recycling and breaking down cardboard.  Gray recycling containers are provided at all trash collection stations throughout the campground.

No swimming, wading, or boating in the lakes.

Children are not allowed on the dock without a responsible adult.  No running, jumping, or sitting on the rails of the dock.

Fishing privileges are for registered campers only.  No fishing for visitors.  Fishing activities end thirty minutes after dark and may begin thirty minutes before sunrise.  There is no night time fishing here at the campground.  All fish are to be caught and released back into the lake.  

Please do not pick flowers or move rocks from campsite perimeters.  Wildlife and plants on the premises are for you to enjoy, but should not be disturbed.

Please read and observe all signs and rules posted throughout the campground property.

Cancellation Policies:

There is a cancellation fee of $10.00 (ten dollars) if a reservation is cancelled more than 7 (seven) days from day of arrival. For cancellations within 7 (seven) days of arrival there will be a one day camping fee charged.

Cancellations are only accepted when made by calling the office. No cancellations via email are accepted.

Refunds will be processed within 30 (thirty) days of the cancellation request and only after approval of management.

Refunds are made as credits to the original credit or debit card on which the reservation was made, less all cancellation fees. The credit or debit card is required at the time of cancellation.

No refunds are given for no calls, no shows, late arrivals, or campers who are asked to leave. No refunds will be given to partial cancellations that result in a reservation not meeting the minimum length of stay on major event days. Deposits taken for major event days are non refundable.

Campsites not occupied by 9 am the day after the scheduled arrival date are fortfeited and made available to other campers.

Pine Lake Campground and its staff reserves the right to make adjustments in assigning reserved campsites.

Management assumes no responsibility for loss by fire, theft, or accident, etc.  Management reserves the right to change the rules and regulations and to evict for infraction without refund of fees.  These rules are not meant to offend anyone.  We wish it could be as simple as “Honor Thy Neighbor.”  We hope you will enjoy your visit and return soon.
